Environmental Charter School
Instructor: Stephanie Danes --- Spring 2018

This project challenged us to work with tight site and spatial requirements to design a middle school for the Pittsburgh environmental charter school system. My design developed three main parts of the building: community, classroom, and green spaces.

Each core part has its own developed space, as well as overlapping breakout spaces. These blend the function of its two parent cores.

An example of this is the green balcony, which wraps around the south side of the school over three floors. This functionality of this balcony morphs from green classroom attachment to outdoor group seating as it moves from the classroom core to the community core.
